MANAGER: Laura Kaminski (Crystal Palace)

A four-four-fuckin’-two with the two highest scorers leading the line, a powerhouse of a central midfield duo saddled by wingers who can play in anyone including the two marauding wing-backs they’re partnered with. Then you’ve got a great wall blocking at the back — nobody’s getting into that box and if a cross swings in it’s being claimed or cleared. And then the bench! A vastly improved season for the ‘keeper, more attacking through defending defenders and then even more attacking through attacking attackers. All led by a manager who entered in the midst of a storm and corrected the course with nary a qualm — fulfilling the destiny of this group of players and staff, holding off competition from Karen Hills and Melanie Reay at close rivals Charlton and Sunderland, respectively, as well as Simon Parker, whom has rejuvenated his Blackburn side.
